Inspirational Latin Awards and Hispanic Canadians Awards on November 1
On the heels of October being declared Latin American Heritage Month in Canada, the fifth annual Inspirational Latin Awards 2018 is returning this November to recognize the outstanding achievements of individuals from the Latin American community in B.C.
Presented by Latincouver, empowering people is one of their priorities. “We commemorate individuals who have made a significant difference in their community. They have guided, supported and encouraged their business. They have been considered an asset in the development and commitment of the community they live in,” according to Latincouver.
The gala event, held on November 1, 2018 at 6 p.m. at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver, will recognize five nominees in five different categories for their relevant work for the integration of Latin-Americans in British Columbia and Canadian society at large. These categories are: arts and culture, business entrepreneur, innovation and sustainability, non-latino making an impact and the Waldo Briño Award.
This year, the 10 Most Influential Hispanic Canadians Awards, which honours Latinos from across Canada, will be celebrated at the same event.
Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism Pablo Rodriguez, who was born in Argentina, will be a special guest at the event.
