No talking between Abby Binay, Junjun since 2015
Makati Mayor Abigail “Abby” Binay said she and her brother, Junjun, had not talked since 2015.
This was contrary to her brother ’s claim last week that they last spoke in July this year, or just three months ago.

But Abby, in an interview with ABS-CBN News Channel’s “Headstart,” said they last spoke three years ago.
She disclosed this when asked during the interview if JunJun, the former city mayor, asked her to let him run in the 2019 mayoral race in Makati.
“No. He has not spoken to me of anything of that sort. Okay, he has not spoken to me, period,” she said.
Asked for the last time they spoke, Abby said, “2015.”
She did not say why she and her brother had not spoken since then.
“The issue with our family is within our family. Lumalabas lang s’ya ngayon because now he wants to run against me,” she said.
“We have our personal differences inside our family pero ngayon napag-uusapan kasi parang ngayon lumalabas dahil ngayon gustong maglaban.”
Abby reiterated that she would like to seek another term as mayor because she would like to finish the subway system in Makati, which is expected to start this December.
She aired concern that if someone else won, all her accomplishments and projects, like the subway, would be set aside by her successor. /cbb
