Miaa: NAIA equipment acquisition ‘above board’

The Manila International Airport Authorities (Miaa) assured the public on Monday that the acquisition of equipment at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) is “above board,” following reports that the country’s premier airport is using a fake Windows 7.

“Rest assured, the acquisition of all MIAA equipment is above board as prescribed by the Philippine Government Reform Act,” the Miaa said in a statement sent to INQUIRER.net.

The statement of airport authorities came after a photo circulated online that NAIA is allegedly using a pirated copy of Windows 7.

The now viral photo, posted on Reddit by a certain u/LyraStark, shows a list of flight schedules at one of the  NAIA terminals.
