Hyundai partners with Go Negosyo for mentorship
CAR manufacturer Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI) recently partnered with Go Negosyo to provide mentorship to local entrepreneurs.
HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo threw Hyundai’s support behind the “Mentor Me on Wheels” program of Go Negosyo and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
Agudo joined Go Negosyo founder and Presidential Advisor for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion and other mentors on the seventh leg of the mobile mentorship program held at The Block Atrium, Quezon City.
The program aims to help owners of micro and small businesses by bringing them face to face with experienced entrepreneur-mentors from a broad range of industries and backgrounds.
In 20- to 30-minute one-on-one sessions, the mentors offer advice on adopting the right mindset for business and on marketing their products and services effectively.
“The Filipino entrepreneur should have confidence! They should believe in themselves and that their product or service is something they should be proud of,” said Agudo in her remarks.
She also encouraged the business owners she mentored to embrace digital platforms like social media.
“We live in a digital age,” Agudo said. “Taking advantage of the reach and access that digital platforms afford businesses today is a crucial tool for entrepreneurship.
“The internet has the potential to showcase your product to the widest range of customers, as well as provide the networks and lessons you need to grow your business,” she added.
