‘Paeng’ to bring rain to parts of PH but won’t make landfall — Pagasa
TYPHOON “Paeng” (international name: “Trami”) will bring isolated rain showers in Metro Manila after it entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Sunday morning but is not expected to make landfall, according to the state-run weather bureau on Monday.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the eye of the typhoon was last seen 1,100 kilometers (km) east of Tugegarao City, Cagayan.
It has winds of 170 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts of 210 kph as it moved west- northwest at 20 kph.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers because of localized thunderstorms are being experienced in the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Aurora.
Heavy rain showers with lightning packed with strong winds are being felt in Calauag, Quezon.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.
Flooding or landslides in low-lying areas are possible because of scattered light to moderate rains.
