CPP joining forces with opposition — AFP

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) has been conniving with several opposition groups in initiating a destabilization plot against the Duterte administration, according to Brig. Gen. Antonio Parlade, AFP assistant deputy chief of staff for operations (AJ3), who claims that such coalition has been a “sinister plan” of the CPP to orchestrate issues critical issues confrontingthe government such as the rice shortage.

“It’s really about economic sabotage, political destabilization and all of these…news, you know this rice shortage, that’s artificial,” Parlade said in an ANC interview aired on Friday night.

Among the groups CPP alleged to be conniving with opposition groups are Tindig Pilipinas, Coalition for Justice, different labor groups and the Movement Against Tyranny.

Tindig Pilipinas is an organization mostly of members of the Liberal Part condemning on several policies of President Rodrigo Duterte while the Coalition for Justice is a group supporting former chief justice Maria Lourdes Sereno while fighting her ouster from the Supreme Court.  DEMPSEY REYES
