UAAP cancels weekend games

University Athletic Association of the Philippines President Nilo Ocampo on Saturday announced the suspension of all Season 81 men’s basketball games scheduled today at The Arena in San Juan City because of the inclement weather brought by Typhoon Ompong.

The 2 p.m. game between University of the East (0-1) and National University (1-0) and the 4 p.m. game between University of the Philippines (1-1) and University of Santo Tomas (1-1) today will be rescheduled.

Saturday’s men’s double-header featuring defending champion Ateneo De Manila University (1-1) vs Far Eastern University (1-1), and Adamson University (1-0) vs De La Salle University (0-1) at the Araneta Coliseum, was also called off.
