LOOK: Passengers, cargoes stranded at Batangas port
Hundreds of passengers were stranded at the port of Batangas as various government agencies suspended sea voyage due to typhoon “Ompong.”
As of 9 a.m., the country’s maritime sector listed about 434 passengers and 260 vehicles stranded at the Batangas port.
The passengers were prevented to board the vessels due to bad sea condition.
Hundreds of cargoes at the roll-on, roll-off vessels at the port of Batangas were temporarily grounded due to inclement weather. /jpv
