Drug pusher killed on way to court
A drug suspect was shot dead Friday while he was on his way to a court hearing, police said.
The Batangas City Police Station said Elvis Areglo, allegedly the driver of drug lord Peter Co, was killed at 8:30 a.m.
Policemen were escorting Areglo to the Regional Trial Court in the city when five unidentified men bearing long firearms shot him in Barangay Sta. Clara.
He was rushed to St. Patrick Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival from muliple gunshot wounds.
Police have yet to confirm his connection to Peter Co. ROY NARRA
