LOOK: Ex-Justice Sereno visits Trillanes in Senate
Former Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno paid a visit on Wednesday to Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, who has been holed up in the Senate amid threats of arrest.
Sereno was at the office Trillanes’ in the Senate shortly before noon.
Vice President Leni Robredo also visited the senator last week.
Trillanes is facing arrest after President Rodrigo Duterte issued Proclamation 572, revoking the senator’s amnesty granted by the previous administration.
The senator sought a temporary restraining order from the Supreme Court but the tribunal junked his bid on Tuesday citing assurances by the President that the senator would only be arrested if a warrant was issued against him. /cbb
