No TRO for Trillanes – SC
The Supreme Court en banc refused to grant the petition of Sen. Antonio Trillanes 4th for a temporary restraining order (TRO) that would stop Malacañang from revoking the amnesty granted to him by former president Benigno Aquino 3rd.
During deliberations on Tuesday, the high court merely ordered the Office of the President, Department of National Defense , Armed Forces of the Philippines to comment on the petition within 10 days from notice.
The Office of the Solicitor General will represent the respondents.
Only nine justices participated in the deliberations led by Chief Justice Teresita De Castro.
This means that without a TRO, Trillanes can be arrested anytime once a warrant of arrest is issued by the Makati RTC and the military court. JOMAR CANLAS
