LOOK: This is the Senate couch that Trillanes sleeps on

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV said he has not been sleeping in a comfortable bed but in a small couch in his office at the Senate building due to his pending possible arrest.

“Diyan ako natutulog (I sleep there),” he said pointing to a black couch in his office.

Trillanes said he has only been sleeping for around four hours a day since Tuesday after Duterte revoked his amnesty and ordered his arrest.

The senator said he normally sleeps at 3:00 a.m. and wakes up at around 7:00 a.m.

“I freshen up, and ‘yun na (and after that), ready to face everyone by 9:30 a.m,” he said.

Trillanes also said the air conditioner in the Senate premises is turned off at around 10:00 p.m. but he does not mind, saying he is used to such a lifestyle as he previously spent seven and a half years in jail.   /vvp
