Rio Olympian Lariba passes away at 24
OLYMPIAN Ian “Yan-yan” Lariba died on Sunday night, according to a statement from Philippine Table Tennis Federation President Ting Ledesma. She was 24.
Lariba, 24, was stricken with leukemia, which she battled for more than a year after her Olympic stint in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2016.
She was the first Filipino to compete in table tennis in the Olympics.
