168 new officers to join Philippine Army
A total of 168 new officers who recentlly graduated from the Officer Candidate School in Capas, Tarlac will join the Philippine Army.
The Officer Candidate Course “Emancipator” Class 50-2018 is comprised of teachers, criminologists, nurses, engineers, bankers, agriculturists and other professionals.
Second Lieutenant Luwiemae Maceda led the batch. She received the Secretary of National Defense Saber award.
Maceda, a graduate of Technology Communication, vowed to make a difference in the lives of Filipinos.
2LT Alvin Nicolas Jr. and 2LT Vincent Dacomos were the recipients of the Chief of Staff Saber Award and Commanding General Philippine Army Saber Award, respectively.
Maj. Gen. Casiano Monilla, commander of Training and Doctrine Command, said the 168 newly minted officers would be deployed to strengthen the Army’s tactical units who are in charge of quelling insurgency and terrorism in the country. ROY D.R. NARRA
