Duterte to send NPA rebels to China, HK to see communism is dead

DAVAO CITY — President Rodrigo Duterte will send three women rebel returnees to China and Hongkong to see firsthand that communism has now become obsolete.

“The communists in China and Russia already have market economy,” Duterte said during the 12th anniversary of the Eastern Mindanao Command (Eastmincom) here.

“Ugma, paadtuon mo sa China and Hongkong, tan awa ngadto og unsang klaseng kumunista, tag-as building hangtud diha, kita diri lang, tan awa unsa kaguapo kamoderno ang kumunista, unya kini si Sison, ang iya idea iya utok, now instead of talking of ideology, ako daw comatose,” Duterte said as he ordered Presidential Special Assistant Christopher Lawrence Go to prepare the rebel returnees’ passports.

Duterte said the fast land reform happened under his hands.

“I (implement) the fastest land reform,” he noted, citing the island of Boracay, where he promised to distribute the lands to the people.

The President also asked the rebel returnees to go back to the mountains and convince more of their comrades to go down.

“Sison? Don’t believe him, he is already old. He has colon cancer,” the President said.  /kga
