Maynilad water supply normalizes in parts of Metro

WATER supply in many parts of Metro Manila and neighboring provinces are back to normal as the turbidity situation has improved, Maynilad Water Services, Inc. said on Friday.

Water production is back to normal, “so we lifted the implementation of the rotating supply availability schedule which should have lasted until today,” Maynilad said in a text advisory.

The water firm was forced to reduce its supply because of water turbidity at Ipo dam. This affected about six million customers of Maynilad.

But the company said “turbidity (or concentration of sediments) in the raw water from Ipo Dam has decreased,” adding it has started filling up reservoirs.
