Senate suspends work because of bad weather
THE Senate suspended work starting 11 a.m. on Monday because of bad weather.
“As approved by Senate President Vicente Sotto 3rd all Senate officials and employees are allowed to go home,” according to the advisory signed by Senate Secretary Myra Marie Villarica.
The Office of the Sergeant-At-Arms and the Maintenance and General Services Bureau personnel are not included in the advisory.
Meanwhile, meetings, committee hearings and other events may proceed subject to the discretion of the chairman, senators and offices concerned.
Of the five committee hearings scheduled on Monday, only the Committee on Energy chaired by Sen. Sherwin “Win” Gatchalian held its hearing on the status of electrification in the country. JEFFERSON ANTIPORDA
