MMDA lifts number coding scheme — report
THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) lifted the number coding traffic scheme for Monday because of bad weather, according to a radio report.
This means that vehicles with plate numbers ending in 1 and 2 can travel.
The MMDA announcement, however, does not include Makati and Las Piñas.
Heavy rains, induced by the southwest monsoon, are expected to continue in Metro Manila today, according to the state-run Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Servuces Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa is also monitoring “Leepi,” a tropical storm outside still the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
