Andanar asks constitutional commission spokesman to ‘disengage’ from Mocha Uson

PRESIDENTIAL Communications Secretary Martin Andanar on Monday asked the spokesman of the Consultative Committee (con-com) to “disengage” himself from his assistant secretary, Margaux “Mocha” Uson, on the task of disseminating information on federalism.

“I confronted spokesman Generoso today, I told him he needs to disengage [himself from Uson]because he did not ask permission from the PCOO. He went straight to Asec. Mocha, not us, without even informing the interagency and me as head of this department. There should be a go signal from our department,” said Andanar, referring to Ding Generoso and to the Presidential Communications Operations Office.

“There was no go signal, so I told him to disengage because I have to talk to Mocha first since the issue is gaining ground,” Andanar said.

Andanar was reacting to the viral video posted on Uson’s blog, showing Uson and another pro-Duterte blogger, Andrew Olivar, performing “lewd” dance moves while chanting “pe-pe, de-de, e-pederalismo.”

It was Generoso who voiced last week the possibility of tapping Uson to help out in the dissemination of information on federalism because of the five million people who follow her on her blog.

In a press briefing on Monday, Andanar said Generoso went straight to Uson and asked for her help without consulting the PCOO and the interagency panel tasked to draft the Charter that would pave the way for the shift to a federal system of government.

As of posting time, the “pe-pe-de-de-deralismo” video has over 1.6 million views. RALPH VILLANUEVA
