Cops nab Marikina City’s sixth most wanted criminal
Marikina City’s sixth most wanted individual, who has standing warrants for robbing different computer shops, has been arrested in Barangay Sto. Niño, Marikina City on Monday afternoon.
According to a report from the Eastern Police District, suspect Rey Gonzales, 42, a construction worker from Sheff Street in Barangay Sto. Niño, was caught based on a warrant of arrest from the Marikina Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 273.
The arrest order stemmed from an incident where Gonzales robbed a computer shop at Concepcion Dos in Marikina last July 2013.
When an agent spotted him near his residence, operatives from the Station Intel Branch prepared to arrest him.
The suspect was casually arrested along 5th Street in the said barangay by the police officers.
Gonzales was brought to the Marikina Police headquarters and is now under the custody of the Investigation Detective Management Section’s custodial cell while waiting for a commitment order from the court. /vvp
