LPA dissipates but monsoon rains to continue in western Luzon—Pagasa
A low pressure area in the eastern part of the country has dissipated but monsoon rains will persist in western Luzon, the state-run weather bureau said on Sunday.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the southwest monsoon or “habagat” will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Palawan and Mindoro provinces.
Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon make up Calabarzon.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers because of localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Pagasa is also monitoring a cloud cluster outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It is not forecast to have a direct impact on the country for now, senior weather specialist Meno Mendoza said. GLEE JALEA
