7 drug suspects nabbed in Muntinlupa
SEVEN suspected drug personalities were arrested in Muntinlupa City, according to a report by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Wednesday.
Armed with a warrant, combined elements of PDEA-NCR (National Capital Region) and the Muntinlupa City Police Station arrested Cristina, Kristin Ann, and Annalyn Lopena of the Lopena drug syndicate.
Cristina was apprehended in a house in Barangay Sucat at 5:25 p.m. while Kristin Ann and Annalyn escaped.
Also arrested were Marlon Macatuggal, Dandrian Alvarez, Mark Gil Patriarca, Rejay Lazaga, Michael Lopena, and Virgilio Valdrias.
Authorities confiscated 22 pieces of plastic sachets containing suspected “shabu” weighing about 30 grams worth P204,000; 12 pieces of plastic bags containing suspected dried marijuana leaves weighing about 100 grams worth P12,000; assorted drug paraphernalia; and a revolver.
The suspects are now under the custody of PDEA-NCR for investigation, documentation, and proper disposition.
They will face charges for violating Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. ROY NARRA
