Judicial screening committee shortlists candidates for SC associate justice
SUPREME Court Administrator Midas Marquez, six justices of the Court of Appeals and a former law school dean make up the shortlist of candidates for the post that Associate Justice Presbitero Velasco Jr. vacated following his retirement, a source privy to the Judicial and Bar Council’s screening of applicants told The Manila Times on Monday.
Aside from Marquez, the other candidates are CA Justices Jose Reyes, Rosmari Carandang, Ramon Garcia, Apolinario Bruselas, Ramon Hernando, Amy Javier and former Ateneo Law School dean Cesar Villanueva, the source said. JOMAR CANLAS
