Lawyer, security guard shot dead in Rizal subdivision

A LAWYER was shot dead in his home in Rizal on Thursday, police said on Friday.

Four unidentified men fired at Joey Galit, 62, as he and his wife were about to leave Apple 1 Subdivision on board their vehicle.

A security guard, identified as Jesus Mateo, was also killed when he tried to stop the shooting.

Galit and Mateo were brought to the Manila East Medical Center and Cainta Municipal Hospital respectively where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

The Rizal Provincial Police issued “Oplan Cobweb” in pursuit of the suspects. Investigation is ongoing. ATHENA LUCASAN
