14 people hurt in three-vehicle collision on Edsa southbound lane
AT least 14 people were hurt when a passenger bus lost its brakes and hit another bus and a private car along the southbound lane of Edsa near Magallanes interchange in Makati, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported on Tuesday.
The MMDA Rescue Team rushed five of the injured to the Pasay General Hospital while four were brought to the Ospital ng Makati. The rest sustained only minor injuries.
An initial report said that the Joyselle bus was travelling along Edsa southbound when it lost its brakes after emerging from the tunnel and rammed the other bus, which hit the rear of the private car.
The accident snarled traffic along Edsa, reaching up to GMA Network in Kamuning, Quezon City.
Traffic along the Magallanes southbound lane has since been cleared, the MMDA said. JAMES KONSTANTIN GALVEZ
