Barker shot by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Marikina
A barker was shot by two unidentified male motorcycle-riding suspects in Marikina City on Sunday night.
According to a report from Marikina City Police Station, the victim was identified as Anthony “Nonoy” Velasco, 25, of Barangay Tumana, Marikina, who called passengers for public utility vehicles as a livelihood.
The report said that as Velasco was knocking at the gate of his house at about 11 p.m. when two men on separate motorcycles opened fire, hitting him in the neck and stomach.
The suspects then fled.
The Marikina police are conducting follow-up operations, while Velasco was rushed to a hospital for treatment. /cbb
