‘Yellow rainfall’ warning up in Bataan, Batangas, Cavite—Pagasa
THE state-run weather bureau on Thursday morning issued a yellow rainfall warning over Bataan, Batangas, Cavite because of continued monsoon rains.
Yellow rainfall warning means flooding is possible in low-lying areas, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Metro Manila, Pampanga, Bulacan, Zambales, and Nueva Ecija will have light to moderate with occasional heavy rains because of the southwest monsoon or “habagat”, which may persist within three hours.
Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains may also persist within three hours over Rizal, Laguna, and Northern Quezon.
Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, and Babuyan Group of Islands will have moderate to occasional heavy monsoon rains for the day which could lead to possible flooding or landslides.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms caused by the southwest monsoon will also affect the rest of Mimaropa, of Cagayan Valley, of Central Luzon, and of Calabarzon.
The Bicol region, Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms, Pagasa said. GLEE JALEA
