1 p.m. – AMA vs Che’Lu Bar and Grill
3 p.m. – CEU vs Go for Gold
Go for Gold aims to tighten its grip on the solo leadership while Centro Escolar University looks to bounce back as they collide today in the resumption of the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup action at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Tip off is at 3 p.m., with the Scratchers determined to stretch their perfect start to three straight matches and gain another proof why they are considered as a legit force to be reckoned with in the season-ending tournament.
It’s easier said than done, however, since the Scratchers will have to deal with a Scorpions side raring to recover from a 96-90 stunner dealt by the Batangas-Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals last Monday.
Although his wards took care of their business last week, Go for Gold coach Charles Tiu believes the Scratchers remain a work in progress in terms of displaying the fluid flow that he’s been wanting to see on both ends.
“I’m not so confident with our game yet,” he said, still far from impressed with Go for Gold’s recent performances in an 88-75 triumph over Batangas in the conference opener last Monday followed by a hard-earned 86-83 win over AMA Online Education last Thursday.
Meanwhile, Aspirants Cup bridesmaid finisher Che’Lu Bar and Grill tries to sustain its resurgence when the Revellers take on the unpredictable Titans in the opener at 1 p.m.
Much of the focus, however, will be on the main match, with Gab Banal expected to do it all anew for the Scratchers who also have veterans James Martinez and Jerwin Gaco plus promising Paul Desiderio and Vince Tolentino.
