‘Domeng’ to bring rain over Visayas, Mindanao—Pagasa
TROPICAL depression “Domeng” will bring rains over Visayas and Mindanao, the state-run weather bureau said Wednesday.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), Domeng was 700 kilometers (km) east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar as of 8 a.m. with maximum winds of up to 45 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 60 kph.
Domeng is forecast to move northwest at 15 kph.
It will bring cloudy skies with occasionally moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol region, Calabarzon and Mimaropa.
Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon make up Calabarzon while Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan make up Mimaropa.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers because of localized thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
