Munti fire razes 200 houses

A fire razed around 200 houses in Barangay Poblacion, Muntinlupa, yesterday morning. According to Muntinlupa City Fire Station, the fire broke out in Espeleta Pantalan area at about 11:10 a.m., affecting 400 families.
The fire reached the third alarm before it was declared out at 1:57 p.m. Investigators said the fire started at the house of one Cristy Villar although authorities have yet to find out the cause.
The Muntinlupa City government immediately gave the affected families food, clothes, rice and water. Cash assistance will be provided to the families by the Muntinlupa City Council and Barangay Poblacion.
