OMNI TV needs your voice to keep broadcasting

Do you watch any programming on OMNI Regional TV?  Then you might be interested to know this national multicultural/multilingual TV service is facing an upcoming licensing renewal.

Currently, it has mandatory carriage on the basic service of all television distributors. “This has allowed us to provide programming to over 40 different ethnic groups in over 40 different languages, and to continue offering our third-language newscasts in Italian, Mandarin, Cantonese and Punjabi. Now, we are at risk of losing this mandatory distribution, which will mean closure of the service,” according to an OMNI representative.

OMNI TV is asking for its viewers support by completing a letter of support form at www.supportomnitv.ca. Add your voice of support by the June 7 deadline.
