Nabbed female police commando tests positive for drugs — Albayalde
A FEMALE member of the Special Action Force (SAF) who was arrested over the weekend after she was caught in a “pot session” in Taguig City tested positive for drugs, Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Oscar Albayalde said on Monday.
Police Officer (PO) 3 Lynn Tubig was arrested last Saturday with two companions, identified as John Vincent German and Fernando German, during an operation where eight pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) were also seized in their possession.
Prior to the arrest, a police operative noticed a man in the area holding a gun. After seeing the presence of the policeman, the man ran towards the direction of the shanties where Tubig and her accomplices were found.
When presented before the media on Monday, Tubig was seen smirking and crying at the same time which, Albayalde said, showed that “she was currently not in her right mind because she was still high on drugs.”
“She is smirking maybe because she tested positive for drugs. The results just came out,” Albayalde said in Filipino.
“How can she deny that she didn’t take drugs? This is science,” Albayalde said.
Albayalde said Tubig and her accomplices were facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. ROY NARRA
