The Philippine National Police (PNP) Responders look to extend their winning run to four games when they clash with the GSIS Furies on Sunday in the 2nd UNTV Cup Executive Face-Off at the Pasig City Sports Center.
Led by the hot-shooting Joshua Alejandro, the Responders are heavily favored in their 3 p.m. encounter with the Furies.
Alejandro scattered 26 points in their impressive 81-75 win over the Judiciary Magis last Sunday in a victory that enabled them to stay on top along with the Senate Sentinels.
Also expected to contribute significant numbers for the Responders in the event organized by UNTV president and CEO Daniel Razon is Joel de Mesa.
The 2-1 Magis hope to get back on the winning track when they clash with the Malacañang-Philippine Sports Commission Kamao at 6 p.m.
After dropping their first two games, the Kamao of Special Assistant to the President Sec. Bong Go are determined to barge into the win-column thus guaranteeing another explosive weekend.
Clashing at 4:30 p.m. are the Ombudsman Graftbusters and the DOJ Boosters with both teams out to improve their 1-1 records.
